May-08-2010: Development News: WendzelNNTPd-1.9.1-snapshot available. 'LIST OVERVIEW.FMT' command now implemented. 'LIST NEWSGROUPS' and 'NEWNEWS' now respond with '502' code what should be a better information to the client that the commands are not supported.
Mar-11-2010: Development News: You can download the 1.9.0 WendzelNNTPd pre-alpha version as a development snapshot here. The documentation is also available here. Please not that this version is currently not ported to Windows what means that it would be very hard to compile it on a Windows system. It works pretty well on Linux. Please also note that the GUI is broken in this snapshot but you do not need the GUI since the console admin tool 'wendzelnntpadm' is already done.
Jan-05-2010: Development News: Great news: MySQL support added(!) & lots of other improvements made.
Dec-27-2009: Development News: Role-based ACL is now implemented too.
Dec-26-2009: Development News: Upcoming WendzelNNTPd 2.0.0 release will include an ACL functionality (not role based at the moment) as well as a real database abstraction layer. Btw. There are now powered by WendzelNNTPd images available.
